We are delighted to welcome our new Head Chef, Sean Clifford to The Red Door. He’s a busy man as he sets about adding his sparkle to our a la carte menu and Value 4 menu (stay tuned!), so we were lucky to catch 60 seconds with him as he hits the ground running!
Where did you work before here?
I have had the pleasure of working in many fine establishments including The Ivy in London and most recently, Harry’s in Bridgend, Co. Donegal. My wife and I ran The Foyle Hotel in Moville for 10 years.
What has been the highlight of your career?
I would have to say being invited to America to create a new menu for a restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia.
What attracted you to The Red Door?
Just look outside!
What plans do you have for The Red Door?
I intend to continue the great work already started and create some exciting new menus with emphasis on seasonality.
What or who inspires you?
My mum – a dynamo who never stops!
We look forward to the exciting new a la carte menu that Sean will be unveiling at the start of February, just in time for The Red Door’s third birthday!
