Friday Wedding
On a fairly damp and miserable Friday last, we were delighted to welcome our Bride and Groom, Aine and Jeremy into the warmth and comfort of The Red Door Country House.
The happy couple certainly put a smile on everybody’s faces. They and their guests had a superb evening starting with a sumptuous six course wedding dinner and followed by a cracking party. We were honoured to be the host venue and we wish Aine and Jeremy, Mr and Mrs Stanley a very long and happy future.

Busy weekend
The weekend continued with a busy lunch on Saturday and our Agnes Jones Afternoon Tea menu proved very popular. Our dining rooms were busy that night and the air was full of chat and laughter as diners quaffed and cajoled through dinner.
On Sunday there was an air of anticipation as John, The General Manager (from Tipperary!) was nervously awaiting the All Ireland to start. The tv was on from 1.15pm and everyone wondered if the winners would be Tipperary or Kilkenny. For the second week running, the Leinster team prevailed and that was that. Sunday proved busy regardless and the The Willow and Violet Rooms were buzzing with lunch and the odd Afternoon Tea. Dinner was equally vibrant.
Saying Goodbye to familiar faces and welcoming new ones
On a sad note we have had to bid farewell to one of our team, Maria Duffy who is heading off to the University of Cumbria to complete her studies. The next few weeks will see the departure of some more of our longer serving staff whom all move on to Uni.
We’ll be welcoming new staff especially Aisling Monaghan who started recently and I am sure will prove invaluable to The Red Door.
New Opening Times
Autumn has crept upon us and our opening times have changed. We are now open:
- Monday and Tuesday from 12noon to 6pm.
- Wednesday – Sunday from 12 noon to late.
Lunch and afternoon tea is served from 12 -6pm daily and dinner is served on Wednesday – Sunday from 6pm to late.
Lunch can be pre-ordered by phone (074 93 60289).
